Vadim Burciu
(Dancer)
 |
Mr.
Burciu was born in 1976 in Moldova. He graduated from the
Chisinau Academi of Dance in 1995 and began working in Chisinau
National Theatre of Opera and Ballet. In 2001, he was awarded a
diploma at the International Ballet Competition in Constanta,
Romania. Mr. Burciu has been working with Carolina Ballet
Company since 2005. He has toured in Spain, Italy, Germany,
Holland, Scandinavia, Greece, and Switzerland. His repertoire
includes Pas de deux (Giselle), Pas de deux (Corsare), James (Silfida),
Harlequin (Swan Lake), Blue Bird (Sleeping Beauty), and many
others. Mr. Burciu’s joined the Manassas Ballet Theatre in
2007. |

Denis Vezetiu

|
Denis Vezetiu. Born in Moldova, Mr. Vezetiu trained at
the Academy of Ballet of Republica Moldova from 2000 to
2004. Upon graduation, he joined the National Theatre
of Opera and Ballet of Republica Moldova. From 2005 –
2006, he danced with the National Opera of Bucharest.
From 2006-2007, he danced with the Chisinau National
Theatre of Opera and Ballet where he toured extensively
throughout Europe and the United States. His repertoire
includes Russian, Chinese, and Spanish variations
(Nutcracker), Franz (Coppelia), and Ali (Le Corsaire).
Mr. Vezetiu joined Manassas Ballet Theatre in 2008.

Dina Fadeyeva
(Ballet Mistress,
Resident Choreographer )

Ms. Fadeyeva was born in Almaty, Kazakhstan. She trained at
the acclaimed Almaty State Ballet Academy. Ms. Fadeyeva
danced with the Almaty State Theatre of Ballet and Opera
from 1985 – 1989. In 1989, she went to Moscow, Russia to
study at the Gitis Academy of Arts where she studied under
Marina Semynova; she graduated in 1994. From 1993 – 1996,
Ms. Fadeyeva taught at the Moscow Institute of Contemporary
Dance as well as being a guest artist with many companies in
Moscow. In 1996, Ms. Fadeyeva went back to the Almaty State
Ballet Academy to continue her career in teaching as well as
teaching at the Almaty Institute of Contemporary Arts. In
2000, Ms. Fadeyeva participated in the International
Festival of Traditional Dance in Almaty and won the Grand
Prix. In addition, many of Ms. Fadeyeva’s students won
prizes in International Ballet Competitions in Moscow,
Budapest, Lausanne, and elsewhere. In 2005, Ms. Fadeyeva
choreographed her own production. “Triump of Athena” with
music by Mahler, for Almaty State Theatre of Ballet and
Opera. That same year, Ms. Fadeyeva accepted a teaching
position with Ballet Royale in Maryland and came to the
United States. This is Ms. Fadeyeva’s second year with the
Manassas Ballet Theatre.

| Sara Gaydash (Dancer)

This is Sara's second year with Manassas Ballet
Theatre. Originally from Ohio, Ms. Gaydash was recognized as
“Gifted in the Arts” and graduated as high school
Valedictorian. She has studied with Inna Stabrova, Dmitry
Tuboltsev, and Sergei Fokin, and was the Junior Youth Grand Prix
winner in Chicago in 2003. She has received full scholarships
to summer programs such as the School of American Ballet and
American Ballet Theatre. |

Alexandru Glusacov (Dancer)
 |
Born in Moldova in 1980, Mr. Glusacov trained
at the Academy of Ballet of Republica Moldova from 1991 to
1998. Upon
graduation, he joined the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet
of Republica Moldova where he was a soloist and toured
extensively throughout Europe and the United States. In 2003,
Mr. Glusacov became a soloist with the National Theatre of
Classical Ballet under Artistic Directors Natalia Kasatkina and
Vladimir Vasilev. In 2004, he became a soloist with the
Russian Ballet of Moscow under Artistic Director Vyacheslav
Gordeyev. Mr. Glusacov earned a diploma from the International
Ballet Competition in Constanse, Romania in 1997. His
repertoire includes the Joker from Swan Lake, Mercutio in Romeo
and Juliet, and many other roles. |

Heather Hebda (Dancer)

A
native of Pittsburgh, Ms. Hebda studied at Mercyhurst
College in Erie, Pennsylvania where
she received her Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a minor in
Arts Administration. She also trained at Point Park College
in Pittsburgh; LaRoche College; Ballet Met in Columbus,
Ohio; Ballet Austin; and the Pittsburgh Youth Ballet. Ms. Hebda
has worked as dance and ballet
instructor and choreographer at Spacecoast Ballet, The
Dancezone, and King Street Dance in Florida. In addition,
she has danced in various dance teams and including
appearances at Cleveland Cavaliers NBA games. This is Ms.
Hebda’s first year with Manassas Ballet Theatre.

Jennifer
Hogue(Dancer)

Jennifer Hogue is in her first
season with the Manassas Ballet Theatre Jennifer is a
native of Pennsylvania and trained with the Pittsburgh
Youth Ballet Company. Upon graduation, she was asked to
join the Nashville Ballet from 2003-2005. While in
Nashville, she performed in the Nutcracker, Sleeping
Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, and Scheherazade. Following
that, from 2005-2007, she was a company member with the
Ohio Dance Theater. With Ohio she performed lead roles
such as the Evil Queen in Snow White, Marzipan Pas de
Deux and Columbine Doll in the Nutcracker, and Spindrift
Pas de Deux. Jennifer also performed in Swan Lake,
Sleeping Beauty, Valse Fantasie, and Carmen, as well as
the children's ballets of Alice and the Wonderland
Circus, as Tweedle Dee, and The Fairy Forest, as the
head fairy Pixie.

| Penelope Lewis (Dancer)
 |
Pennelope Lewis was born and raised in
the Northern Virginia area where she trained with Virginia
Ballet under Oleg Tupine and Tania Rousseau. Penelope then
continued her training at Mercyhurst College in Erie,
Pennsylvania, where she graduated Magna cum Laude with a
B.A. in Dance. There she had the opportunity to work with
renowned guest artists and faculty, including Madame
Nathalie Krassovska, Vivi Flindt of the Royal Danish Ballet,
Laura Alonso, Tauna Hunter, and Luis Montero.

Leanne Mizzoni (Dancer)

A Northern Virginia native, Leanne recently graduated from the
Hart School with a BFA degree in Dance Pedagocy. Her training
includes the Virginia School of the Arts and a summer session
with the Joffrey Ballet. This is her third season with Manassas
Ballet Theatre. |

Vadim Slatvitskiy (Dancer)

After graduating in 1989 from the Novocibirsk Ballet Academy in
Russia, Mr. Slatvitskiy became the principal dancer with the
Novocibirsk Theatre from 1998 until 2000 where he danced in many
productions such as Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, and
Giselle. Mr. Slatvitskiy also danced as the Prince in The
Nutcracker. In 2000, he became a principal dancer with the
Grigorovich Ballet Company in Russia. In 2003, he won the
coveted Grand Prix award in the Philip Morris International
Competition. This is Mr. Slatvitskiy’s second year with
Manassas Ballet Theatre. |

Amy Grant Wolfe (Artistic
Director)
 |
Born in Buffalo, New York, Amy
has danced since age 5. She has a B.A. degree in Theatre
(Summa cum Laude) from Baldwin-Wallace College in Cleveland
and a M.F.A. in Dance from Southern Methodist University
where she twice received the Meadows Award as an outstanding
dance student and won the Betty Furgeson Award as
Outstanding Graduate student. As a professional dancer she
has been a soloist with Ballet Dallas, Ballet Midland,
Irving Ballet, Richardson Ballet, Dallas Metropolitan
Ballet, Southwest Dance Collective, Ohio Opera Company and
Berea Summer Theatre. After moving to Manassas in 1990 Amy
became a teacher at the Manassas School of Dance and a
principal dancer with Manassas Dance Company. In 1997 Amy
became Associate Director of Manassas Dance Company and
helped lead the expansion of the Company into a professional
ballet company. In 1999 Amy became the Artistic Director of
Manassas Dance Company (now MBT). |

Melissa Zoebisch (Dancer)
 |
Originally from Mexico, Ms. Zoebisch studied in Ballet de Camara
de Jalisco (Chamber Ballet of Jalisco) and graduated in 2004.
She spent one year at The Kirov Academy of Ballet, and has
attended various workshops in Cuba, Canada, Austria, and the
United States. In 2005-2006, Ms. Zoebisch returned to Mexico
where she danced roles as Big Swan (Swan Lake), and Flower
Soloist (The Nutcracker) with the National Dance Company. Her
other roles in her repertoire include The Bull (Carmen),
Stepsister (Cinderella), and Grand Pas de Deux (Don Quixote).
This is Ms. Zoebisch’s second season with MBT.
