Wei-Yuan Tai

Wei-Yuan Tai is from Taipei, Taiwan. He began his training with Modern, Ballet, Contemporary, martial arts, Chinese traditional dance, and hip hop at the age of 10 in his parents’ dance studio.
Wei-Yuan attended the Taipei National University of Arts from 2017 to 2022. At the Taipei International Ballet Grand Prix 2022, he placed 2nd and received a full scholarship to Pittsburgh Ballet summer intensive.
Wei-Yuan attended the Pittsburgh Ballet Summer Intensive in 2022. He received full scholarships for the year program to Pittsburgh Ballet School and The Washington School of Ballet.
From 2022 to 2023, Wei-Yuan continued his training at The Washington School of Ballet. At the Washington DC Grand Prix 2023, he placed 2nd in classical and contemporary. At the ARTWAVE International Ballet Competition 2023 in Taiwan, he won the 1st prize.
In 2023, Wei-Yuan went to complete his mandatory military service.
With the help of Xiomara Reyes and Rinat Imaev, Wei-Yuan got the opportunity to come back to The Washington School of Ballet in January 2024.
Wei-Yuan join Manassas Ballet Theatre in 2024.
